R-78S evaluation board allows battery calculations
RECOM’s R-78S evaluation board allows engineers to effortlessly test the functionality of the R-78S switching regulator, which boosts a AA battery or external supply voltage to 3.3V for low power IoT applications. The evaluation board is equipped with several jumper headers to measure input and output current and voltage - allowing typical battery lifetime calculations in both active and standby mode.
Evaluation Boards for RPM Power Modules
The evaluation boards for the RPM‐1.0, RPM‐2.0, RPM‐3.0, and RPM‐6.0 buck regulator series generate a constant output voltage with an output current up to 6A from an external DC source. Hereby the multitude of functions offered by the RPM power modules such as trimming, sequencing, soft‐start, enable, and sensing can be evaluated. More importantly, the behavior in overload or over temperature can be easily assessed early in the design phase.
Evaluation Board for RBB10 Buck/Boost Converter
The evaluation board for the RBB10 buck/boost converter generates a regulated output voltage with a current up to 4A from an external DC supply which can be higher, lower or the same as the set output voltage.
The output voltage is preset to 3.3V or 5V but can be adjusted between 1.0V and 5.5V using on‐board resistors. All of the functions of the RBB10‐2.0 regulator such as the different operating modes, output trim, enable, and the sense input can be easily evaluated using the break out connectors.

Universal Half-bridge Reference Design for IGBT, SiC & GaN transistors

Reference Board for isolated ISO1042 CAN Transceiver
With higher voltages being used in the Controller Area Network (CAN) standard, isolated communications are becoming imperative to protect the low-voltage microcontroller and also reducing noise. To isolate the communication channels, an isolated power supply ,either with discrete components or with an integrated solution, is needed.
An integrated option is our R-REF03-CAN1 reference board, demonstrating the functionality of the isolated ISO1042 CAN transceiver, which is supplied by our low-profile and thumbnail-sized R1SX DC/DC converter. It allows design engineers to quickly develop and analyze isolated CAN bus systems and includes the galvanically-isolated ISO1042 CAN transceiver, which supports up to 5-Mbps data rate in CAN FD mode allowing much faster transfer of payload compared to classic CAN.
R-78S boosts a AA battery to continuous 3.3V for IoT
The R-REF02-78S is a ready-to-use design for 3.3V IoT applications. It generates 3.3V from a single AA battery and can directly be used in any application. The reference design contains a AA battery holder and an R-78S3.3-0.1 boost converter. Two jumper headers J1 and J2 connect to the output voltage and the CTRL pin of the R-78S converter. An enable pin puts the R-78S into sleep-mode where it draws only 7uA from the battery.
